Nozzle Types & Applications
Choosing the correct nozzle is essential for achieving optimum blasting performance. The Flo-Blast range covers every major application:
Nozzle Air & Pressure Requirements Chart
Air, Pressure & Compressor Requirements
A blast nozzle performs correctly only when supplied with clean, dry air at the required pressure and flow. Monitor pressure loss — a drop of more than 10 PSI typically indicates restriction, leakage, or excessive wear Use blast hose with an internal diameter equal to or larger than the nozzle entry Maintain after-coolers, moisture traps, and separators — moisture accelerates liner wear and reduces efficiency Match compressor capacity to nozzle air-consumption charts (Small increases in bore diameter require significantly more CFM) The reference chart below shows typical air consumption, power requirements, and abrasive usage by nozzle size and operating pressure. Data is provided as a practical guide for compressor matching and nozzle selection. Actual performance may vary depending on abrasive type, hose condition, and system efficiency.
